We are dedicated to improving the lives of the hearing impaired, one patient at a time. Everything we do is to help people with hearing loss enjoy the sounds, voices, people and conversations in their lives. We take great pride in helping people get back the gift of hearing—there is nothing more gratifying.
i had an issue with my hearing aid where the dome got stuck in my ear canal. I called Madison hearing Aid center and was able to get support in under half an hour! Jim and Sarah were very friendly and kept me calm in a stressful situation. I look forward to establishing care as my hearing aid providers soon.
Rachel S.My hearing aid charger suddenly stopped working during a business trip to Madison at a most inconvenient time. The team at Madison Hearing Aid Center went out of their way to make sure I was able to charge my aids and be able to hear during important company and client meetings. I’m beyond grateful for their caring assistance!! Thank you!
Shannon L.I knew my hearing was not good and bought those ear buds because they were inexpensive. I finally decided to do something about it but did not want to go to hearing aid chains. I searched and found Madison Hearing Aid Center. It was a great experience. Had the best hearing exam I ever had Good hearing aids are little expenseive but well worth it. They have financing available and I truly appreciated that there was no pressure to purchase them. This is family run business and I felt comfortable the minute I walked it. I will truly recommend them to my family and friends. You will truly enjoy the experience.
Frances D.I really wasn't anticipating the prospect of wearing hearing aids, so the hospitality of Jim and Sara(h) came quite welcome. As an independent provider (instead of a franchise or corporate interest), they have the flexibility to treat you like family, and that is exactly how I felt. As both an audiologist and a Hearing Instrument Specialist, Jim brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. The "smart" hearing aids he hooked me up with are awesome; I haven't heard things this well in at least a decade. This was likely the most pleasant "medical" experience of my lifetime. Highly recommended! FIVE STARS!!!!!
Thomas W.As I write this, I am just finishing up my first week with some amazing hearing aids. I have never worn aids before, so I must say that I approached the idea with some skepticism and trepidation. I need not have worried. Jim Lippold, the new owner of Madison Hearing Aid Center, evaluated my hearing loss and fitted me with these technological marvels that immediately made conversations much easier and enabled me to hear sounds that I hadn't known I was missing. Jim has a kind and easy way about him that I found reassuring and very helpful as he explained the various aspects of wearing and using my new aids. Thank you, Jim!
This is a new review. The one above was written in February, 2022. The review that follows is about a hearing aid upgrade and is being written in late September, 2023.
The aids Jim Lippold fitted me with last year were the Livio 2400's. As noted in that review, I liked them a lot. Well, at Jim's encouragement, I just upgraded from those to the Genesis 24's from Starkey. As amazing as the 2400's were, these Genesis 24's are even more amazing. They are very smart! They automatically adjust to make it easy to hear in almost any environment. The phone app that goes with them is noticeably improved from the previous app. It's clear that Starkey is embracing the latest technology for their hearing aids and the latest in software developments to go with them. I'm very pleased with these new hearing aids. Thanks, Jim!
While I alluded to this in my previous review, I think it's important to emphasize the quality of the service I received: Five Stars. Technologically advanced hearing aids are great, but great service makes them even better. Madison Hearing Aid Center is a family-owned, family-run professional business. Jim and his wife Sara are good people who have worked hard since taking over this business in 2022. They are both very people-oriented, so it follows that they will be very customer-oriented. They have a personal interest in those who come to them seeking to improve their hearing. They want you to hear better, and it's clear that they will do all that they can to make that happen.
I would like to add just a word for first-time hearing aid users: It takes a while to get used to them, so it's important to be patient. When I got my first hearing aids, it took me about a month before they felt natural in my ears. Eventually, you don't even notice them—except when you're NOT wearing them and can't hear nearly as clearly.
